Prof. Dr. Özge YALÇINER ERCOŞKUN (Executive)

She graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning. She completed her master's degree in Geographic Information Systems at Middle East Technical University and her doctorate in Urban and Regional Planning at Gazi University. She currently works at Gazi University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning. Her areas of interest are sustainable urban planning, smart cities, eco-tech urban design, resilient cities and geographic information systems. She has taken part in many panels, exhibitions, conferences, etc. organizations, participated in national and international congresses on ecological urban planning and geographic information systems and worked on research projects. She has many books and publications on sustainable urban design, ecological and smart urban planning, and information technologies. She has won awards on sustainability and urban development, and sustainable tourism.

Prof. Dr. Ebru Vesile ÖCALIR (Researcher)

She received her BA degree from Gazi University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning and her MA degree from METU Regional Planning Program. She completed her PhD at Vienna Technical University, Department of Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering with a scholarship from YÖK. She conducted postdoctoral research on modeling of transportation and land use relationships at Vienna Technical University, Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Research Center with a scholarship from YÖK. Prof. Dr. Ebru V. Öcalır has over 10 years of experience in project management in transportation and urban mobility. She has served as an experienced expert, transportation policy expert, project manager and academic advisor in many national and international projects, including the National Transportation Master Plan of Turkey. She has two international and one national book on transportation and transportation systems planning, urban mobility, urban planning, sustainability, Geographic Information Systems and Decision Support Systems, which are her areas of research. She is currently a faculty member at Gazi University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning.

Dr. Ceren ERCOŞKUN (Postdoctoral Scholar)

He graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning in 1998. He completed his master's degree in Geodesy and Geographic Information Technologies, Middle East Technical University, Institute of Science. He completed his doctorate in Environmental Sciences program, Gazi University, Institute of Science. He taught computer and senior urban planning project courses in Gazi University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning. He continues his studies on rural gentrification and rural sustainability, geographic information systems, smart cities, and city centers.

Hilal TULAN IŞILDAR (PhD Scholar)

She received her bachelor's degree from Gazi University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning in 2016 and her master's degree in 2021. She is continuing her doctorate studies at Gazi University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning. Her areas of interest are urban transportation planning, sustainable urban planning and geographic information systems. She continues to work as an urban planner at the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, where she started working in 2022.

Tuğçe OLGUN (Masters Student Scholar)

She graduated from Gazi University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning in 2024. In the same year, she started her master's degree in Gazi University, Institute of Science, Department of Urban and Regional Planning and is still continuing her education. Her areas of interest are sustainable urban planning, resilient cities, smart cities, rural development and urban transformation.

Buse TÜRKOĞLU (Masters Student Scholar)

She received her bachelor's degree from Bilkent University, Department of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture in 2020. She continues her master's degree at Gazi University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning. She worked in a private architecture office for four years. She has a paper on open data portals. Her areas of interest are urban design, urban planning, sustainable urban planning, geographic information systems, smart cities and information technologies. (September 2024 - January 2025)
